Oman Classics was the first classic car rally ever held in Oman. For its inaugural edition, rare vehicles — among them multiple iconic Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwings — were brought into the country for the first time ever, crossing the mountains of Jabal Akhdhar, the dunes of Wahiba Sands and the old city of Muscat.
The brief was a basic branding package: logo, colour palette, typefaces and a repeating traditional pattern. We centred everything on one mark — the Arabian oryx, Oman's national animal. Rather than illustrating a car or a route, we let the country itself carry the identity, drawn in a single reduced silhouette that reads at any scale.
That decision proved out in application. The oryx moved from entry tickets to embroidered polo shirts, flags and rally emblems applied directly to the cars — the same mark on textile, paper and steel, without losing definition.
